Restorative Schools Initiative
The Restorative Schools Initiative trains and supports districts, schools, teachers, and educational personnel in restorative practices.
Restorative practices are the applications of restorative justice values in the educational context. These apply to disciplinary responses to behaviors as well as developing a restorative culture throughout the school.
In addition to open trainings for application of Restorative Justice approaches at Tier I, II, and III levels, we also offer tailor-made trainings responsive to your needs and context, such as:
- Restorative Justice 101
- Whole School Restorative Justice: Implementation Models and Guides
- Circle Training
- Harm-Response Facilitation Training
Kansas Restorative Schools Network
In conjunction with the Restorative Schools Initiative, the Kansas Restorative Schools Network (KSRN) supports collaboration, mutual learning communities, and resourcing for continued education and training for educational personnel implementing restorative approaches in their schools in Kansas.
Membership is open to those who have completed RSI training and includes access to shared resources across districts, membership directory, access to free or reduced-fee continuing education opportunities, participation in regional learning communities, and more.
