The Restorative Schools Initiative (RSI) trains and supports districts, schools, teachers, and educational personnel in restorative practices.
Restorative practices are the applications of restorative justice values in the educational context. RSI uses a tiered approach to restorative practices implementation, with Tier 1 practices primarily geared towards establishing restorative cultures within schools. At the Tier 2-3 level, schools begin to focus on creating more restorative responses to challenging behaviors and instances of harm within the school community. With full implementation of restorative practices, schools will be better equipped as collaborative and compassionate learning communities that are able to meet student needs.
RSI provides trainings for individual buildings, whole districts, and individuals at both the Tier 1 and Tier 2-3 levels. Contact us for more information, including pricing options.
We also offer tailor-made trainings or short presentations responsive to your needs and context, such as:
- Introduction to Restorative Practices
- Whole School Restorative Justice: Implementation Models and Guides
- Restorative Circle Processes
- Restorative Dialogues (or Victim/Offender Dialogue)
